Sunekos improves the signs of ageing by enhancing, stimulating and boosting the production of new collagen and elastin.
Sunekos Treatment
Sunekos is a unique combination of hyaluronic acid and amino acids which stimulate the skin's fibroblasts to produce new collagen and elastin. Initially four treatments are required at 7-10 day intervals, then one treatment every 3-6 months to maintain results. The only exception to this is the undereye area, which requires three treatments initially at 2 weeks apart.
Collagen and elastin are substances already present in the human body, and are the building blocks of firm, youthful skin. Sunekos works by naturally stimulating collagen and elastin, so gradually restoring radiance, firmness and elasticity. This medical treatment involves a series of injections to insert the product just below the surface of the skin through a cannula or fine needle. It is beneficial for a range of skin concerns including dryness, acne scarring, loss of tone, fine lines and sun damage. For people who would prefer a more natural approach to Botox or fillers it is an ideal alternative as it works through natural processes.
Common Areas
Sunekos is a highly versative product, and can be used on all areas of the face and neck. The eye area responds very well to treatment - it improves the appearance of dark circles and softens the fine lines in the delicate eye area without affecting movement. Sunekos is primarily recommended for mature skin to reduce the signs of ageing and reactivate cellular functionality, however it can also be used for younger skin to slow down the physiological ageing process.
Treatment Options
For skin regeneration there are two options available - Sunekos 200 and Sunekos 1200. In most cases Sunekos 200 is effective alone, however in cases of extreme skin laxity Sunekos 1200 is used in addition to give extra scaffolding support.

Patient Testimonials
The fine lines on my lower cheeks really bothered me, but I didn't feel ready to go down the filler route. Sunekos has really helped, I've had a course of four treatments now and can really notice a difference.
What's Involved?
AnnaLouise offers a free, no obligation initial consultation to discuss Sunekos treatment options.
Initial Consultation
During this appointment your medical history will be discussed to ensure any prescription medications or health issues will not be affected by treatment. Your areas of concern will then be assessed to ensure Sunekos is a suitable treatment to achieve your goals. There will be plenty of opportunity to discuss alternative treatment options, and for you to ask questions.
Treatment
Prior to commencing any treatment you will need to sign a consent form. AnnaLouise will give detailed information on the benefits and risks of Sunekos to equip you with the knowledge needed to confirm you are happy to proceed. A local anaesthetic cream will be applied prior to treatment, and given plenty of time to take effect. The injections may still sting slightly, but the procedure is relatively quick, the needles very tiny and the numbing cream minimises any discomfort.
No. Sunekos is not designed to restrict movement in the facial muscles, so you will have full expression following treatment.
All possible side effects of Sunekos are fully discussed during the initial consultation. The most common side effects are local reactions at the injection site, and include redness, swelling, tenderness and bruising. Although extremely rare other possible side effects can occur including haematomas, infection, oedemas, nodules and cysts. There have never been any reports of allergic reaction following treatment with Sunekos, however there is still a possibility in theory that this could occur.
Sunekos® is not to be used during pregnancy, or while breast feeding. Other contraindications include known allergy to hyaluronic acid, or skin infection at the site of injection.
Both treatments stimulate collagen and elastin to improve skin quality, however Profhilo has very specific injection sites so covers a more widespread area. Sunekos can be injected where it is needed most, so can be very targeted to address the precise areas requiring improvement. The recommended protocol for Profhilo is initially two sessions 1 month apart, whereas for Sunekos it's four sessions 7-10 days apart.
There may be some tenderness, redness, swelling and bruising around the injection site, this is normal and will generally subside within a few days. Avoid makeup for 12 hours post treatment, and avoid alcohol and strenuous exercise for 24 hours. It is recommended not to swim for 48 hours, and to avoid extreme temperatures (eg. saunas, sun beds) for a minimum of 7 days.
